Is a duty refund possible?

You can obtain a refund of duty paid on a vehicle you have returned because you are not satisfied with it if:

• you return the vehicle within 3 months of purchase; and

• you apply for a refund within 3 months of returning the vehicle.

You can also obtain a refund of duty if the vehicle you purchased was a stolen vehicle and it is taken from you.
