The following information will be required to register for the Small Business Grant (SBG).
You will need to provide:
your Australian Business Number (ABN)
you total Australian Wages for the previous financial year
your business address
your postal address
a contact name and daytime telephone number
an email address (your email address will be your username and therefore a username must be unique for each client).
Note: You must register at least one new job to submit your online application for the grant.
New Job Details
You will need to provide the following details:
new employee's start date
new job title
type of job (i.e. full-time, part-time or casual)
postcode / suburb where the new job is situated
new employee's given and family name
new employee's date of birth
number of existing staff working over and under 35 hours per week immediately before the new job was filled
total number of hours worked per week by all staff working less than 35 hours per week
number of full time equivalent (FTE) employees immediately before the new job was filled. You will have the option for OSR to calculate your FTE employees or manually calculate this figure
Note: Once you have chosen your method of FTE calculation, you must use this method for each additional new job entered. To change this method of calculation, please contact us.
Lodging a claim online
When you register for the grant, you do not need to provide any supporting evidence. However, you must, provide supporting evidence when claiming for the grant.
Supporting evidence may include but is not limited to:
- your most recent payslip before the anniversary date
- a PAYG Payment Summary relating to the financial year that falls within the 12 month grant period.
If you have all the required information, it should take you about 10 minutes to complete and submit the registration form online.
Once you have completed and submitted your application, you will receive a registration number and reference number for each new job.
When registering your business for the grant you will not be able to save your information until you have completed the full application process.

You can view and modify your details (except the number of FTE employees) at any stage using the online application. If you need to modify the number of FTE employees, please contact us.
Withdrawing a new job
You can withdraw a new job registration at any stage. Once a registration has been withdrawn, you cannot make any further changes to the application.
Information collected from you on this form is required by us to determine if you have a liability or entitlement. The information may be provided to third parties with your consent or as required or permitted by law. We will correct or update your personal information at your request.
