Who is entitled to claim?

A subsidy may be claimed by a registered person (wholesaler or distributor) of eligible petroleum products sold to retailers or consumers where

  • The retailer sells the petroleum products at their premises within a zone.

  • The petroleum products are sold and delivered to the premises of a consumer for use by that consumer in connection with a business or activity within the zone where the products were delivered.

When to claim a subsidy payment

Registered persons should lodge their claims at the end of the month in which the relevant eligible petroleum product was sold. However, a claim may be made within 5 years after the end of the month in which the relevant eligible petroleum product was sold.

How to claim a subsidy payment

A registered person can make a claim online by selecting ‘Online services’. You can also complete and lodge the subsidy payment form with OSR.
