- How do I get an application form?
Applications forms are available for download from this website. If you are unable to print the application form please contact OSR and we will post one out to you.
- Where do I lodge my application?
Applications for the First Home Owner Grant can be lodged with the financial institution providing you with the finance for the purchase or construction of your home. A complete list of financial institutions authorised to act as an approved agent is provided below.
Alternatively applications may be lodged with OSR after completion of the eligible transaction. That is after settlement and you are registered on title as the owner or if you are building your home, after construction has been completed and you have an occupation certificate.
- Is there a fee charged for processing my application?
The NSW Government does not charge a fee to process First Home Owner Grant applications.
- How long do I have to apply for the grant after purchasing or building my home?
You have 12 months from completion of the eligible transaction to which your application relates to lodge your application. The Chief Commissioner has discretion to extend this period in exceptional circumstances.
