Step 3: Your interview

Before the interview

The convenor will tell you:

  • the date, time and venue of the interview

  • who will be on the selection committee

  • any additional materials or information to bring with you.

If you need special assistance at your interview please tell the convenor.

At the interview

Make sure you arrive on time to your interview and dress accordingly.

The interview will take 30 to 45 minutes. You will be asked questions about how your knowledge, skills and personal attributes will help you perform the role, as well as the information you have provided in your application.

You may be invited to add further information in support of your application, which will give you an opportunity to demonstrate your interest in and understanding of the position.

It's your responsibility to show the committee that you are the best candidate for the position.

After the interview

Following your interview, the selection panel will contact your referees.

Once the panel has made their decision they will contact successful applicants by phone to make an offer.

Unsuccessful applicants will receive notification through the mail.
